ISKCON was founded in 1966 by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to present the teachings of Lord Krishna as found in the Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam.
Our purpose
ISKCON helps people develop spiritual understanding and genuine well-being through chanting, study, worship, compassionate service and sanctified vegetarian food.
Our practice
The heart of the movement is the chanting of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra—a direct and joyful way to remember Krishna and awaken love of God.
